International Women's Day at Beamish

Friday 8 and Sunday 10 March, 11am and 2pm each day, Beamish Museum, County Durham, DH9 0RG

There will be a chance to join in with Suffragette rallies in The 1900s Town at 11am and 2pm each day, as well as a chance to learn about the role of women in the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s in the different areas around the museum. The Pit Village school visitors can also make a rosette in suffragette colours and on Sunday 10 March, there will be the singing of women's songs.
