Increased fees for civil orders and injunctions

From Monday 25 July there will be a change to fees charged in connection with certain civil proceedings in the courts and tribunals. These changes affect a number of the fees charged in the civil courts and within civil proceedings in the Magistrates’ Court. In addition there will be changes to the fees charged in the Property Chamber of the First-tier Tribunal, Immigration and Asylum Chamber (Upper Tribunal)(Judicial Review) and in the Employment Tribunals.

Sisters Uncut meeting in Newcastle

Sisters Uncut Newcastle is having its first public meeting at 6:30pm on Wednesday 3rd August. It says “We are organising in Newcastle in response to the dangerous cuts to domestic violence services here in the North East that disproportionately affect women. Newcastle Women’s Aid is due to close in October after 44 years of invaluable service.”

Second debate on funding for supported housing but still no clarity

Government has announced there will be no decision on LHA caps or future funding of supported housing until "early in the autumn”.
