Women’s Intensive Support, is a service run by Changing Lives for victims/survivors of any form of Violence against Women and Girls (VAWG) who may have difficulty engaging with traditional specialist services (e.g. refuge) because of complex needs. This was initially a one year fixed term pilot which has now been extended until March 2020.
The Women’s Intensive Support Worker will provide support to 20 women, who have been identified by the referral criteria and have had experience of violence, abuse and trauma. Women may partake in risky behaviours and experience on-going and recurring crises, when they can present repeatedly to services such as mental health, offending, homelessness and substance misuse.
Based in Newcastle, salary £23,432 p.a, fixed term, full time.
