Reshaping the economy to work for all: New Commission on a Gender- Equal Economy

Women's Budget Group is pleased to announce a new project, the Commission on a Gender-Equal Economy, which will proactively develop alternative economic policies to promote gender equality in the UK. The Commission will be chaired by Professor Diane Elson, internationally renowned feminist economist. You can find out more about the project here.

In advance of the launch of the Commission, we are calling for evidence on Gender Equality and the Economy to inform and shape the Commission in its early stages. Read our general call for evidence, with four guiding questionsWe are accepting contributions until 31st March 2019.

WBG welcomes submissions from communities and grassroots women’s groups and organisations, as well as work done by think tanks, trade unions, academics, civil society organisations, and representatives from the public and private sectors. We are keen to hear first person accounts about gender inequalities as well as evidence from practice, research and other types of knowledge and experience.
