My Sister’s Place is recruiting a Domestic Abuse Outreach Support Worker. Permanent, pay Scale NJC-SCP 26 (30 hours) or job share for the right candidate. Closing date Thursday, 21st June 2018 12:00. As part of the Police Transformation Fund, Route2 is implementing part of a ‘whole systems approach’ to domestic abuse. They are seeking an assertive outreach worker to join their small team committed to tackling domestic abuse. Their holistic approach requires high performing individuals with excellent people skills, a good knowledge of the criminal justice system; an ability to engage with service users, and a resilient personality to deal with some difficult issues with a client focus.
Clear adherence to confidentiality and safeguarding is essential. The successful candidate will assess the needs of domestic abuse perpetrators and implement clear strategies to support risk reduction and risk management within a multi-agency context. You will need experience of working with offenders and have a good track record of client engagement within clear boundaries. This is a challenging but rewarding role if who want to ‘make a difference’ and are committed to the charitable aims.
