IWD 2019 with Gender and Society Research Hub Northumbria University

International Women’s Day is one of our busiest times of the year, with all sorts of events organised across the region. Lucky us!

As part of IWD, we are organising another Festival of Feminist Ideas and Actions in Newcastle, with:

  • speaker events at the City Library in March (7th 12th and 21st) and April (9th);
  • a feminist poster exhibition throughout March, with a guided talk (26th March), at Northumbria University Library;
  • a film showing (8th March) at Tyneside Cinema;
  • and a Feminist Activism Symposium in May (1st)

All events are free (except the film – tickets from the Tyneside) and open to everyone to attend. Publicity with more details will be out very soon.

If you have information about other local IWD events that you’d like to share, please forward it to me to distribute to members of the Gender and Society Research Hub mail list (230+ members now)
