Northumbria Community Rehabilitation Company (CRC) commission Changing Lives Women and Criminal Justice Service to coordinate, develop and maintain community hubs for women in Northumbria.
Operating a one-stop-shop model of intervention, the hubs bring local services to women in a safe, non-threatening environment, with a view to enabling women to progress to accessing their local services independently. The Hubs are partnerships between Changing Lives, Northumbria CRC and other agencies who offer services which address issues contributing to offending. The overall aim is to reduce reoffending of those who use our services.
The Women’s Community hubs work with women who are under the supervision of the CRC. There are 9 hubs in total which operate for half a day a week in Newcastle, Sunderland, South Tyneside, Gateshead, North Tyneside and Northumberland. Coordinators are responsible for their own hubs, but will also be required to cover for colleagues in times of absence. Travel expenses incurred through work will be reimbursed.
(Guarenteed to be full time until 31st March 2020, hours may reduce to 18.5 hers per week)
