In the run-up to International Women’s Day, Not the Job, CARE International and Fawcett Society from the Centenary Action Group are organising a Day of Action to End Workplace Harassment on Tuesday 5th March.
The Not The Job Campaign are encouraging citizens from across the UK to meet with their MP in Parliament and ask them to publicly pledge their commitment to ending workplace harassment, in the UK and globally.
• In the UK, this lobby day aims to put pressure on the Government to reinstate third-party harassment laws and introduce a duty on employers to prevent harassment.
• Globally, Not The Job are asking the UK Government to support the strongest and most progressive version of the International Labour Organisation (ILO) Convention to end harassment and violence in the world of work.
Not The Job want everyone to be able to have their voices heard and will provide a bursary to supporters who are unable to cover the costs of travelling to London. Also, they will help supporters have meetings with their MPs at constituency offices, if they are unable to come to the lobby day but want to be part of the campaign.
