2019 has been a tumultuous year. With a General Election on December 12th which will decide not only the next government but our future relationship with the European Union, our future political and economic situation is still uncertain. In these uncertain times, the work of the Women’s Budget Group is more important than ever. We have to continue to make the case for gender equality not only because it is the right thing to do, but because it will result in a more sustainable and resilient economy.
This is why we launched our Commission on a Gender- Equal Economy which is working to proactively develop alternative economic policies to promote gender equality across the UK.
