Young Women's Film Academy - Seeking two Trustees to support and develop a young and unique charity

The Young Women’s Film Academy (YWFA) is unique in being the only dedicated film academy for young women in the UK, and is based in Newcastle. The YWFA includes both short-term outreach film projects working with young women in communities across the North East, as well as an on-going Saturday Club enabling young women aged 12 years and over the opportunity to be introduced and eventually well-skilled in filmmaking. The films produced are then used to highlight issues of oppression or difficulty to other young women in the region.

This is a fixed term position within the Council’s Housing Advice Team. The purpose of the role is to provide high quality practical and emotional support to households who are living with, or have lived with, domestic abuse and/or violence and have a housing need.

This part-time position will be responsible for leading the planning, monitoring and evaluation of our Supporting Sisters’ Programme to demonstrate the outcomes, social impact and learning of this important work.

RCTN are looking for a woman who has a genuine enthusiasm for all forms of data who enjoys discovering information that will help identify future trends.  You must be qualified to GCSE level and have a minimum of two years’ experience of designing/developing Access databases. You must also have an understanding of confidentiality and how to handle sensitive issues.

This part-time position will be responsible for producing and implementing a marketing, communication and public relation strategy primarily for The Supporting Sisters’ Programme, undertaking similar tasks in other areas of Aspire’s work as appropriate.

Jobs: Surviving Economic Abuse

Surviving Economic Abuse is recruiting a Privately Owned Housing (POH) Advocate. Full-time (37.5 hours a week) on a 12-month fixed contract. The position may be extended in the future subject to funding. The position is home-based and involves travel to London, Cambridgeshire and a North of England site. SEA is offering a salary of £28-30,000 and membership of a pension scheme with a contribution of 2 per cent. The deadline for applications is 22 February.
