RSACC Trustee Vacancy

"The Rape & Sexual Abuse Counselling Centre (RSACC) was established in 1993, we work to end rape and sexual violence by supporting and empowering women and girls in Darlington and County Durham. Each year we support over 750 survivors of sexual violence. We are a small independent charity with 14 staff and 30 volunteers. We are the only provider of specialist sexual violence services in Darlington and County Durham and commitment to ensuring survivors get the support they need.

Independent Sexual Violence Advisor - Changing Lives

Temporary, part time post, based in Newcastle, fixed salary £17,367. Deadline: Wednesday, 14 August, 2019 

Do you hold an NVQ level 3 in Social Care or equivalent appropriate qualification? Do you hold an ISVA/ IDVA qualification or willingness to complete qualification? Do you have experience working within a multi-agency and legislative framework - attending and providing reports to multi-agency meetings? Do you have experience working with vulnerable people, including victims of sexual and domestic abuse? Do you have experience of managing a caseload?

An exciting opportunity to play a key role within the Young Women’s Outreach Project by applying your existing skills in a new and exciting context. The Young Women’s Outreach Project supports young women and young mothers aged 11-19yrs in the North East of England to build their self-worth, enhance opportunity and choices and gain control over their lives irrespective of disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, supporting and guiding them through crises in their lives.
