Activate Collective has announced that applications are now open for women activists standing for election in May 2020 who would like financial support.
Ana Speed is a solicitor and PhD student at Northumbria University. Her doctorate focusses on barriers women face engaging with the justice system. As part of this, she is carrying out a study into perceptions of access to justice for women in the West-End of Newcastle and the role that community and religious organisations play in supporting their female service users in legal disputes.
The Smallwood Trust has been helping women out of poverty for more than a century. As they move towards their 135th anniversary in 2021 they are looking for additional board members who can help them accelerate their strategy to achieve a gender equal economy and society.
