Date and time:
This coastal walk is part of our British Science Week programme, encouraging women to get involved in science. It has a natural science theme, where we will be stopping to look at the geology and native plants along the coast from Howick to Embleton. We will be starting from Amble, and there will stops in Craster for lunch and Embleton for tea, where we are being hosted by Alison the vicar who will help us celebrate International Women's Week and where we will be sharing some history about local women. We will also be learning about and looking for geocaches along the route.
Women who have limited mobility are welcome, as the trip will enable everyone to take part. We have an accessible minibus picking up and dropping off along the route all afternoon, with the options of doing no walking; walking a few yards on the coastal path; walking a half - mile round walk in Craster; walking between Craster and Embleton, or the whole route from Howick to Embleton.
