Date and time:

Thursday, November 21, 2019 - 10:00 to 13:00

As part of the Sexual Violence Against Older Women’s (SVAOW) project funded by Comic Relief, Rape Crisis will be delivering SVAOW training to Third sector practitioners working in Tyneside on Thursday 21st November 2019 from 10am to 1pm.   The training will take place in central Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The training will help to raise awareness regarding the nature, prevalence and impact of SVAOW, looking at the myths, realities and barriers to accessing services.  It aims to increase professional’s confidence when dealing with SWAOW.

As places are limited, RCTN are asking for expressions of interest from practitioners who work with older women in Tyneside’s Third Sector and would like to attend the event   Places will be allocated and confirmed with practitioners who have been offered a place in October, when details regarding the venue will be confirmed.

If you would like to make an expression of interest, please email Margie Cooper, Rape Crisis Tyneside & Northumberland on mcooper@rctn.org.uk.   Please include the name of the organisation you work for and your role, with a brief statement on why attending SVAOW training is important for your work.
