Femalogue
The idea for ‘Femalogue – A Conversation of Women’ came from Sunderland’s Gender
Independent Advisory Group (IAG). An issue which had been discussed at the group was the lack of women in public positions in Sunderland e.g. local councillors, school governors, advisory committee members etc. In order to find out more about how women in Sunderland felt about being underrepresented in public life and what the reasons for this might be, the group planned and held an event called ‘Femalogue – A Conversation of Women’.
